All the homes on the market in Eagle Ridge

Well, as agents are wont to find out, taking an overpriced listing does one no good. I don't know where some of these people are coming up with their valuations, but I can certainly see a trend in some agents over pricing.
What does over-pricing a home do? Absolutely nothing.
Perhaps you should charge your real estate agent for the sign value in front of your house. How does $1,000/month sound? Fair? That would be a fair approximation of them having their sign on your front yard, month after month, with a flyer box that remains empty...
That's what they don't want you to know: there is sign value. Getting calls off a sign still works in some situations, believe it or not. Then they sell Mr. and Mrs. Buyer a home somewhere else in Eagle Ridge, and get a 3% commission, perhaps not the 1% commission you are paying them to sell...
More about this in another blog.
Let me ask just one question-- If you see a lot of signs from one brokerage, does that mean they are busy/successful? Or, are they just sitting on a lot of properties. Perception is NOT always reality.
More about that later, as well.
